Every year on Father's Day, the Izaak Walton Huntington chapter hosts a teddy bear hunt as a part of Huntington's Heritage Days.  Kids can purchase a $5 hunting pass to join a guided hunt for teddy bears on the chapter property.  The hunters will fill out a hunting pass with a DNR officer and learn about population control as a part of conservation efforts.  Each hunter will get to name and adopt a teddy bear to take home.  They will also get a meal included with their hunting pass.  Smokey the Bear and local firefighters will help our hunters find bears along our hiking trails.  Other activities will include bear-themed coloring pages, face painting, fire extinguisher demonstration, a bounce house, a bear crawl competition, and more.  If any local businesses would like to donate teddy bears or food for this great event, please contact us at HuntingtonCountyiwla@gmail.com or (260)438-8704.

Teddy Bear Sponsorship:

Companies and individuals can sponsor 16” teddy bears with your logo/name on it for $25 each.  Prior to the hunt, the teddy bear can go on display either at the Izaak Walton or at your place of business!

Event Sponsorship levels include:

Scout Sponsors $150- Acknowledgement on the online event page and our tv display during the event

Ranger Sponsors $300- The above plus the opportunity to pass out materials in the hunter’s take home bags.

Conservation Allstar Sponsors $500- The above plus sponsor yards signs at the club for the event

Sir Izaak Sponsors $2,500- The above plus sponsor yards signs at the club for a year, name on a permanent plaque at the club, and a plaque to take back to your business/home
